San Miguel de Allende and Guanajuato, Mexico

One of our all time favorite places to rest is San Miguel de Allende, Mexico. It's at a high altitude, has perfect weather, friendly people, great art and restaurants, and much to do. Our favorite place to stay is Casa Calderoni B&B in San Miguel. It's beautiful, comfortable, and a close walk to many attractions.

Norway

In June 0f 2005, we met in Oslo and with Jim's sister, Beverly, toured Oslo and then traveled by train around Norway. Beautiful scenery and nice people. A great vacation for Jim who was working in Iraq at the time. Norway is not the most popular tourist destination for Americans. However, we have visited many places in Europe and consider Norway close to the top of our most popular places.

Aruba

Carmel has at various times in her career supported the Aruba Refinery under different owners. She has many friends there. We visited Aruba in February and March 2005. It's a beautiful island that has suffered much bad publicity in recent years. The people are very warm and friendly and the island is a great place to kick back and slow down.
