Phoenix Zoo

We love to visit zoos and have found that some of the smaller zoos are often some of the best. The Phoenix Zoo is a great zoo with some very innovative methods of display. A great way to spend a day in Phoenix.

Red Paint Pow Wow-Silver City

While in Silver City, we attended the Red Paint Powwow. Native Indian culture is interesting and rich in tradition. The Powwow offers an opportunity for all to view the best Native American dancers in their full attire. Of all the minority groups in America, the Native American has lost the most and yet endured with great dignity and pride. We owe them much.

Gila Cliff Dwellings

A short drive from Silver City is a must see attraction, the Gila Cliff Dwellings. A little walking into a cool canyon and some climbing and you're transported back hundreds of years to view the homes and center of activity of an ancient people. It's a day trip well worth the time.

Some of the communities on the tour include High Hill, Dubina, Ammannsville, Praha, Freyburg, and Swiss Alp. The churches are just as impressive and interesting as many of the famous cathedrals in Europe. They can be seeon on a tour or on a self drive tour.
