Aruba

Carmel has at various times in her career supported the Aruba Refinery under different owners. She has many friends there. We visited Aruba in February and March 2005. It's a beautiful island that has suffered much bad publicity in recent years. The people are very warm and friendly and the island is a great place to kick back and slow down.

Lisbon and Portugal

In October 2004, we realized a dream to visit Portugal. Most of our time was spent in Lisbon with side trips to the mountains and to Fatima. Compared to other locations in Europe, Portugal is inexpensive while a very interesting and beautiful country. It is one of a few places in Europe where we would consider retiring.
